  120.                     customize the list of subsystems to be
  121.                     installed, then select the ``go'' menu item.

  141.                     All of the subsystems for Fortran 90 can be
  142.                     installed using _i_n_s_t from IRIX.  You do not need
  143.                     to use the miniroot.  Refer to the _I_R_I_S _S_o_f_t_w_a_r_e
  144.                     _I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n _G_u_i_d_e for complete installation
  145.                     instructions.

  149.                     2.3  _P_r_e_r_e_q_u_i_s_i_t_e_s

  152.                     Fortran 90 requires the installation of the IRIX
  153.                     Development Foundation (compilers portion)
  154.                     release 1.0.  For the compiler subsystems, refer
  155.                     to the _1._0 _I_R_I_X _D_e_v_e_l_o_p_m_e_n_t _F_o_u_n_d_a_t_i_o_n _R_e_l_e_a_s_e
  156.                     _N_o_t_e_s.

  158.                     _N_O_T_E:  To complete your installation you, must
  159.                     also install the Fortran 90 front-end components
  160.                     from the MIPSpro Fortran 90 7.2 CD. These
  161.                     subsystems are named _f_t_n_9_0__f_e.

  163.                     _I_M_P_O_R_T_A_N_T: Patch 2016 is required for MIPSpro
  164.                     Fortran 90 7.2. The relevant subsystems from
  165.                     this patch for Fortran 90 operation are:
